This is definitely not my usual choice for a painting but I was asked to do it to be included in a book about Bridlington past and present. So having accepted the challenge the question was how to make it interesting. Moonlight always sprinkles a bit of magic on any subject and this was no exception. It provided me with some lovely colours and effects to balance and soften the angles and straight lines of the composition. Once I had done the drawing which is fairly accurate, the painting flowed quite freely and I have to admit I am pleased with the result.
